Brilliant 4G broadband services

You can't get much done these days without fast, reliable internet access.

Sadly, in too many parts of West Wales, it’s simply not possible to get fixed-line broadband that can cope with the demands of modern life. Watching Netflix, downloading music or even sending emails can be a challenge – if possible at all!

Thankfully, the mobile networks have been investing in their infrastructure, and we’re starting to see 4G broadband speeds which can make a huge difference.

With large and even unlimited packages now available, 4G broadband is finally a realistic alternative to having an internet service provided over a copper landline.

How does it work?

Site signal survey

We’ll visit you free of charge and check which of our 3 partner networks has the strongest signal in your area. We’ll let you know what sort of speeds you can expect to achieve and will check that we’ll be able to install the 4G antenna on your property.

You can then decide on your preferred package..

Installation

Once you’ve decided on a data plan and preferred mobile network, we’ll have you up & running in no time. There’ll be a few bits of paperwork to sort (all electronic) for the direct debit setup and installation fee.

We aim to install within 2-3 weeks of each order. Installations take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on complexity.

That's it - you're online!

By the time we leave, you’ll be online with your new 4G broadband connection. You’ll have a new 4G antenna on your property (as pictured above) with a brand new WiFi router to get the signal around your home.

We’ll take care of you throughout your contract with us and there’s no need for you to speak to the mobile network directly.

What equipment do I need?

Example of a 4G Router

We’ll supply and install all of the required equipment for you. This will include a 4G receiver mounted to a pole (usually outside), as pictured. During our free site survey we’ll find the best location for this and will talk to you about how we plan to cable it back to the inside of your property.

Inside, we’ll provide a small router which will take the 4G signal and turn it in to a strong WiFi signal for you to use. You will also have the ability to plug in up to 3 devices directly to the router using standard ethernet cables. If you need more than 3 ports, let us know during the site survey – we can provide as many as you want, for an additional fee.

If you have a particularly large property, or one with thick walls, we may recommend an additional router which will repeat the signal from the first. This will help to ensure you can get your broadband signal everywhere you need it.

Do I need a landline?
No – our broadband solutions do not require you to have a copper landline. If you still want to keep your home phone, though, we can supply a small box which will convert your home phone to run over our 4G network – and you can keep your phone number.

How much does it cost?

The speeds we can offer you will depend entirely on the 4G signal strength near your property. During our site survey, we’ll test 3 different networks for signal and speed, so we can be sure that you’re getting the best deal.

We now offer unlimited plans at the same price, no matter which network is the best in your area. We can offer ‘lite’ plans with a data limit on request – these are slightly cheaper and are ideal if you are intending to use your 4G connection as a backup only. Otherwise, the unlimited package is almost always the better value.

You will never actually have to communicate with the network – our team will handle everything for you, including the ongoing billing and customer support.
